How We Collect and Use of Application Data

DeskMetrics Analytics provides information to you about how your End Users use their applications. DeskMetrics obtains this information as a result of data being sent to our servers from our software "agent" if embedded by you in an End User's application. The data collected by the agent may include: SDK version, timestamp, application version, OS name/version, display configuration, RAM size, processor name, .NET version, Java version and session start/stop time. DeskMetrics Analytics generates a globally unique identifier ("GUID") that is stored on your computer to uniquely identify it. The GUID is a randomly generated number; it does not contain any personal information. The GUID is stored on your computer and sent with every report.

Application Data we collect is primarily used to display application usage to the account user. It is also used by DeskMetrics to answer questions that customers may have about their account and to improve our Services.


Disclosure of Application Data

DeskMetrics may aggregate Application Data across multiple accounts and use this data to create and publish industry benchmarks or comparative application metrics.

We may share your Application Data with third parties to provide technical support or to provide specific services, such as hosting of your applications.

DeskMetrics may disclose Application Data if it believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on DeskMetrics; or (b) protect or defend the rights or property of DeskMetrics or users of the Services.
